Sequoia Stabilized Gimbal Broadcasts 2008 Super Bowl in HD
February 3, 2008 - Bellingham, WA
Sequoia Technologies, Inc. announced today that its camera stabilization technology was used for the 2008 Super Bowl's "CableCam" coverage in Phoenix, capping off another successful season of premier HD coverage for FOX using the camera stabilization system.
Sequoia's President and CEO, Dr. Keith Denoyer, stated "Use of our product at the SuperBowl marks an important milestone for the company. The system used today actually debuted at the NFL's 2004 Thanksgiving Classic, which was the first high profile event the company was involved in. That system has now brought three consecutive successful seasons of unique Cablecam coverage to FOX NFL broadcasts. It's a testament to both the reliability and performance of our technology to have Cablecam select this legacy system for such a high profile event. This kind of long term track record gives our customers tremendous confidence in our product offerings moving forward."
Sequoia designs and manufactures advanced motion control and stabilization systems for entertainment and aerospace applications. The company specializes in systems that are small, compact, and offer a higher level of stabilization performance and reliability than similarly priced competitor systems.
